Phoenix Studios is an independent film production team of students at the University of Exeter, founded by Hugo Kilner. Formed in 2022, we have developed multiple short films with a variety of different tones and styles.

 

In 2023, we premiered our first film, Gridlock, at Worcester Film Festival, where we were fortunate enough to be nominated for Best Performance. We subsequently received Best Student Film nominations at Wales International Film Festival and RS FilmFest.

We are currently in post-production on several hugely exciting projects, including Bollocks, a successfully crowdfunded short film and by far our most ambitious to date!
